Ball HOgg Academy: AAU Basketball Training in Edwardsville, IL
Ball Hogg Academy is an established AAU basketball program dedicated to developing the next generation of basketball talent for middle school boys & boys in the Edwardsville, IL area, Southern Illinois and Greater St. Louis region. Training, leagues, camps & clinics are held at The Bridge Sportsplex conveniently located close to Interstate 270 & 255.
At Ball Hogg Academy, we focus on building a strong foundation of basketball fundamentals, emphasizing skills such as shooting, ball-handling, passing, defense, and teamwork. Whether you're just starting out or are an aspiring elite athlete, our program is designed to challenge players at every stage of their journey, from beginners to experienced competitors.
Fees range from $159 - $179 per month, depending on the team level and include practice 2x per week & a 24-30 game season.
Fall/Winter Season: October - February (Tryouts in September)
Spring/Summer Season: March - July (Tryouts in February)
Our program offers four levels of play—Prep, Academy, Select, and Premier—each tailored to different skill sets and competitive goals. This tiered approach ensures that every player receives the personalized coaching, mentorship, and exposure they need to succeed both on and off the court.
Prep
Skill development with 1 team practice and 1 optional skills session per week. Includes 4 tournaments (12 games). Designed for developing players focused on building foundational skills. This level prepares athletes to move up to higher divisions like Academy, Select, or Premier in the future.
Academy Teams
Intermediate level teams for 2nd - 8th grade athletes. Focus is on basketball IQ, skill development and executing those skills during games. Primarily local league play only with 2-3 tournaments. Farthest travel would be STL area.
Select Teams
Advanced Level Team for 2nd - 8th grade athletes. Players who have solid skills and are looking to compete at a higher level. Focus is on continued skill development, team play and strategy. A mix of local league play and 3-4 tournaments. Farthest travel would be 2.5 hours or less.
Premier Teams
Advanced level team for 6th - 8th grade athletes only. For elite players with advanced skills looking for top-level competition and preparing for future opportunities in basketball. Focus on high-level play and advanced tactics. This level will only play in competitive tournaments. Some tournaments will be local but there will also be travel required.
