MEDL: Competitive Play for 2nd-8th grade Youth Basketball teams

Is your 2nd - 8th grade boys or girls youth basketball team looking for more opportunities for competitive game play in the St. Louis area?
The Bridge Sportsplex is excited to annoucement our newest league, the Metro East Development League, perfect for St. Louis area teams looking to not only build skills over the summer, but place teams in a competitive game environment for further development.
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE:
The Metro East Development League is a great fit for 2nd - 8th grade boys or girls teams that self-rank between 1–6 in the CNR League. Feeder, Select, AAU teams are welcome, if you are not a tournament team.
(Please note that if your team is high-skill, highly competitive, plays in AAU tournaments, or ranks 7–10 in CNR, then this league is NOT for your team.)
GAMES
Games are played on Saturdays throughout June.
GAME DATES (Saturdays ONLY):
June 14 and June 28
Teams may request between 2 and 8 total games, with a maximum of 2 games per day.
COST: $40 per game
SCHEDULING REQUESTS:
We welcome your preferences — such as:
- “No games on June 7”
- “Only morning games before 12 PM”
- We will do our best to accommodate all requests.
SCHEDULE RELEASE:
Final schedule will be sent via email by the Tuesday before each weekend.
ADDITIONAL INFO:
- Each game will have two referees
- We use a ranking system to ensure competitive matchups
- Admission: $3/person each Saturday
- Concessions available (drinks, snacks, popcorn, hot dogs, nachos, and more)
- Each team must provide one score table volunteer per game
- Sportsmanship is a top priority— Referees have full authority to remove any coach, player, spectator, or team from the gym at any time without refund.
