Our Story
Founded by our CEO, Brandon Hogg, The Bridge Sportsplex is a dream created out of an experience that Brandon enjoyed while traveling and playing professional basketball around the world. He noticed that in other communities and countries, youth were afforded the opportunity to gather at a hub where they were not only introduced to the sport of basketball, but also offered training and development while receiving mentoring and encouragement along the way. That's when Brandon decided to create a centrally located premier sports facility that offered programs, services, event space and development to kids of all ages and backgrounds. His vision is to create an environment where everyone can feel welcome, included, supported and feel comfortable while being pushed to become their very best selves, regardless of circumstance.

The Inspiration & Continuation of a Legacy
While playing with former teammate and dear friend Jaron Lewis at Southern Indiana University, Coach Hogg learned that Lewis had a dream and vision of establishing a Boys & Girls Club. When Lewis’s life was tragically cut short, Brandon made it his mission to create a community hub like this in his hometown. With encouragement and support from his mom, a teacher and his dad, who was a counselor and paster, Brandon knew that he was being called to create a gathering place to serve the youth in the Edwardsville area. Thus, The Bridge Sportsplex was created and continues to build program offerings for boys and girls of all ages in and around Southern Illinois and the St. Louis region.
Our Mission
When walking through, participating in, or spectating events in our sprawling 20,000+ foot facility, you’ll notice our founding principles, which include connecting community through sport. It’s vitally important to us that all our athletes, parents and families know our team and coaches are here to educate, inspire and motivate while finding and building lasting connections with their peers and teammates. Additionally, our goal is to create an event space where the community can come together, whether it's to find common ground, play & learn together, or celebrate.
Commitment to Community
As a premier sports facility and the only one of it's kind that focuses on girls and boys basketball, The Bridge Sportsplex offers many programs that support the mission mentioned above. They include:
- Little Tigers Basketball, a feeder program to the Edwardsville School District’s basketball programs
- Ball Hogg Academy, a developmental league for elementary and middle school athletes
- MidPro South, a competitive elite travel program for high school boys and girls
- Epic Sports Performance, a strength and skill building program - The 40 Foundation, a non-profit focusing on developing the whole athlete both on and off the court.

Event Spaces for Rent
Residents, groups, businesses and local organizations are also encouraged to use our various event spaces for their next party, event or celebration. We offer court rental and use of our lounge for birthdays, retirement and graduation parties, trainings, team building programs, recognition and award banquets and so much more.
